International students attending
boarding schools in Britain must have a guardian who is resident in the UK.
If a relative or friend of the family is not able to fulfil this role, we
can arrange guardianship for any “under age” student, so that parents can be
assured that their child is always in safe hands from the moment of the
arrival until he/she returns home for school holidays.
The main function of the guardian is
to look after the child when he or she is not at the school, for example
during half-terms or exeats, or a period of illness.
All the students have different
requirements. Some of them return home for all the school holidays.
Others who may live further away will require a British host family where
they can stay from time to time when they are not at school. For this
reason Study and Travel International provides a Full Guardianship package
for all students with a choice of additional services which can be added in
order to satisfy every requirement. Our service is “made-to-measure”,
designed for your clients so that they can be safe in the knowledge that we
are taking the best possible care of their child.
The student profile which can be provided to us by filling out our
questionnaire is an important part of the registration. The more
information we have about the student the easier it is to find the right
Guardian. All our Guardians are carefully selected and visited by the
advisors and written references are also taken up. These are available
to the agents or parents upon request.
